چکیده
Abstract One of the biological indicators most used to determine health a fluvial ecosystem are benthic macroinvertebrates. The presence recurrent species in wide gradient latitudes, dominates biogeographic pattern macroinvertebrates Chilean fresh waters, nevertheless knowledge on communitarian ecology these rivers continues be scarce. Null models became powerful statistical tool for describing ecological mechanisms that drive structure an community and underlying patterns diversity. objective this study was invertebrates Allipén River by their composition, richness abundance through null based presence/absence. results reveal high family low diversity, three phyla, five classes, 11 orders 28 families were identified area during four seasons year. Arthropoda phylum representative richness. Regarding richness, Trichoptera (7 families) Diptera (6 followed Ephemeroptera (3 showed greatest diversity families, however, with H’? 1.5 nit registered area. We demonstrated models, randomization associations corresponding analyzed sites. information provided here contributes understanding invertebrate communities River, establishing basis more complex studies.

First observations of the aquatic invertebrate fauna in ephemeral Atacama River (22° S, Antofagasta Region, Chile)
The invertebrate communities of the northern Chilean rivers are characterised by their marked endemism andspecificity of their community structure in different basins. The river systems located in the Atacama Desert are endorheicand are affected by the rainy period of January-February commonly known as the “Bolivian winter“. The present study isthe first report on the observations of arthropods...
متن کاملBenthic Invertebrates of the Lower West River
The purpose of this study was to document existing benthic organisms of the lower West River in New Haven and West Haven, Connecticut, in order to enable monitoring of salt marsh restoration. Seventeen sites were sampled between the Chapel Street Bridge and the mouth of the West River during the month of July 1995. All sites contained polychaete worms and other organisms typical of estuarine sy...

The effect of Rainbow trout farms effluents on benthic macro-invertebrates of Marber River in Semirom city was investigated in spring and summer of 2013. Sampling from benthic macro-invertebrates was done monthly using Surber sampler (mouth area of 30.5 * 30.5 cm with a 500 mesh net) at entrance, discharge and far from three fish farms. In addition to measuring physical and chemical parameters ...

This study examined seasonal differences in microbial community structure in the sediment of three streams in North Carolina’s Neuse River Basin. Microbes that reside in sediment are at the base of the food chain and have a profound influence on the health of freshwater stream environments. Terminal-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (T-RFLP), molecular fingerprint analysis of 16S rRNA ge...
